Why Volunteer ?
We at Apple Valley Christian Care Center recognize the precious contribution that is made by our 80 volunteers, because we see the genuine love they provide to the residents. When you volunteer at the Center, you are sharing your special gifts and time with people who appreciate your commitment.
As Carol VonHelf, our Director of Volunteers states, “The residents talk about how much they appreciate the volunteers for weeks and months after they spend time with them. It is amazing how 60 minutes of personalized time with a resident will make a world of difference in their lives.”
What you may not realize is that volunteering also benefits you as an individual. There are many good reasons to get involved by volunteering, including learning something about yourself.
AVCCC offers volunteer opportunities for adults, teens, children, schools, clubs and organizations to become involved.

All of our volunteers who will have unsupervised one on one contact with our residents are required to be interviewed and go through a volunteer orientation. If you are sharing a talent, performing or part of a group activity the orientation process is waived.
